Reiki Treatments

 

Reiki is the Japanese word for Universal Life Force, a pure healing energy. It is a natural and safe heart-centered healing technique that helps restore equilibrium to the body’s energy centers(chakras). When these energy centers are operating in balance, the body’s ability to self-heal is strong and functional. When they are blocked or unbalanced, through physical or emotional trauma/stress, the flow of healthy energy is disrupted, leading to emotional disharmony or dis-ease. Examples of blocked chakras include anxiety, stress, fatigue, insomnia, chronic headaches, chronic colds and flu, pain, and fear.

Reiki is gentle and non-invasive; used with the intent to powerfully heal and accelerate the release of energetic blocks in the chakras. This leads to stress reduction, pain relief and clearing of mental and emotional blocks. By keeping our energy field active, restored, and balanced we can achieve renewed health and a greater sense of well being.

The Reiki Practitioner is a channel through which healing energy flows through the hands. Treatment is gentle, comfortable and deeply restorative. It clears energy blocks and strengthens the flow of energy to support the creative connection between body, mind and spirit.

During a treatment, the client rests on a massage table while the practitioner uses their hands on or just above the body. The client may sense the flow of energy in different ways such as vibration, change in temperature, seeing colors or involuntary movements. Even if none of these sensations are felt, healing is occurring, and the treatment is effective.

Appointments are approximately 1- 1.5 hours and include a detailed case history followed by the treatment, and some discussion afterwards to help the client understand what happened during treatment and how to move forward. In person and remote reiki sessions are available.
